They are faster and easier to read and write on python compared to traditional .csv files. They can be used with other programming languages too. Each row indicates where one specific point on a human body is located in <code>x,y</code> coordinates for one specific timestamp. If you want to make a video you will need to collect all points from the same timestamp into a video frame.
