"content": "
Hi, as I am doing kaggle competition for the first time, I have some question regarding the competition rule on data.
\n
I have been using a self modified version of the note book Rohith here https://www.kaggle.com/code/irohith/aslfr-preprocess-dataset
\n
My question is for the submission, if I did not publish this notebook that I modified, would I be consider using private dataset? (The notebook only preprocess the data given from the competition) Also does the time for running this notebook which is around 1 hour be consider into the maximum 9 hour training time?
",

      "content": "
If I understood correctly, you are simply using a transformation of the competition data (public), which is fine. The rules have to do with using data that is not publicly available, say a different set of fingerprinting images that is private and other people can't access. That would give you an advantage over other participants and would violate the rules.
",
