  "content": "<p>I have been looking at the example notebook for RLE encoding given on the competition overview evaluation page (<a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/code/inversion/contrails-rle-submission/notebook\" target=\"_blank\">this notebook</a>) the line <code>run_lengths.extend((b + 1, 0))</code> (<a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/code/inversion/contrails-rle-submission#kln-22\" target=\"_blank\">direct link</a>) appears to result in a one indexed output but I cannot find any documentation on if the submissions are evaluated based on one indexed or zero indexed RLE strings. </p>\n<p>Can anyone confirm if the submission file RLE strings should be zero indexed, one indexed or if I have just managed to miss some blindingly obvious documentation?</p>",
