Another competition with CT-scans and dicom files! :-)<br>\nIt's some time ago but do you remember these competitions?</p>\n<ul>\n<li><p><a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/osic-pulmonary-fibrosis-progression\" target=\"_blank\">OSIC Pulmonary Fibrosis Progression</a></p></li>\n<li><p><a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/siim-covid19-detection\" target=\"_blank\">SIIM-FISABIO-RSNA COVID-19 Detection</a></p></li>\n<li><p><a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/competitions/rsna-str-pulmonary-embolism-detection\" target=\"_blank\">RSNA STR Pulmonary Embolism Detection</a></p></li>\n</ul>\n<p>At that time I wrote a short tutorial about how to work with dicom files and I hope that it will be helpful for you.</p>\n<p>It covers the following topics:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>how to load CT-scans</li>\n<li>how to transform to Hounsfield Units</li>\n<li>gives information about the voxel size, the slice area and volume</li>\n<li>how to build 3D reconstructions</li>\n<li>how to segment tissues</li>\n</ul>\n<p><a href=\"https://www.kaggle.com/code/allunia/pulmonary-dicom-preprocessing\" target=\"_blank\">https://www.kaggle.com/code/allunia/pulmonary-dicom-preprocessing</a></p>\n<p>It also seems that I haven't finished it yet and perhaps I will continue working on it during this competition.
