Will I get points?\nA:Yes, the number of participants will be smaller since some people won't submit in the second stage. For the purposes of medals and points calculations, we will use the number of participants in the first stage to calculate points and medals.</p>\n\n<p>About 3/4 people will not submit.\nThere is a bug，for 161 teams is the number of who have already submitted.</p>",

      "content": "<p>didn't understand last line of your post\nbut\nalready 161,still 6 days to go,i am curious about one thing \"are all of those teams got removed who didn't submit model before stage-1 ends?\"\nin stage-1 of pneumothorax competition there were more than 1475  participants but in stage-2 there were 354 teams...so i thought in this competition we wouldn't get more than 400 team,but 6 days to go,so far we have 161 teams,would love to know those who didn't  submit model before stage-1 ends got removed or not?</p>",

          "content": "<p>We won't know until all the problems with the data are dealt with. I assume there are still many people who haven't submitted because they want/have to retrain their models and they need all the data.</p>",

          "content": "<p>Not sure really, my only similar experience was a kernels-only competition where a failure to produce an output in stage 2 resulted in disqualification (at least now we can make sure the submission works). More than half of the teams survived that one.</p>",

People do not get removed from 2-stage competitions but qualify for the 2nd stage by following the rules. In this case uploading your trained model and codes before the end of stage-1 to qualify. Even then you would have to make a submission to be shown on the LB. </p>\n\n<p>In the past I noticed people just submit the sample_subission.csv file to get on the board before they are able to retrain their model. Mind you re-training may or may not improve your model based on your CV scores. That was my experience in a past competition.</p>\n\n<p>Don't forget the training data access problem may be another reason for seeing fewer participants on the stage-2 LB as well. </p>",
